I’m still mad at Wacoal for discontinuing the best little bra ever (see earlier posts). But I must say, this convertible style with optional lace straps and flattering details is a serious contender for my new favorite.
I got it in black as a Christmas gift from my boy. After the disappointment of the Isabel balconette from AE Aerie, I am thrilled to have such a lovely consolation prize.
And, I can’t say I’m surprised that Wacoal has done it again… they certainly know how to make lingerie that fits like a glove, even on petite size AA women like me who have such trouble finding intimates that don’t gap or sag or make us look like little girls playing dress-up.
With the straps attached and the signature Wacoal Petites removable cotton pads left in, this bra is a perfect fit in the band and cups. I’m still too thin to wear it strapless (you need a decent amount of flesh under the arms and at the top of the bust to hold it up), but the straps are so pretty I don’t mind if they peek out from underneath a cami or sleeveless dress.
Amazon is offering a nice deal of $10 off intimate apparel orders over $50, so it’s a good time to stock up on everyday bras — or grab a single luxury designer item on sale.

This is the bra I find myself wearing all the time that does not really fit me. It looks good under clothes, but in the larger sizes, it runs seriously small. I am a borderline 34A/34AA, but this one in 36AA is very tight on me. In fact, it leaves imprints from the cups on my breasts when I take it off. I do like that fact that I can wear it under form fitting tanks (which I wear frequently under other things since most shirts are cut too low for me, or ride up). The cups are somewhat rigid and won’t squish down. But I’d gladly trade it for an Aerie!
Hm. I find that the ivory color doesn’t fit quite the same as the black in this bra, but I can’t quite pin down the difference.
I’d happily take it off your hands if I could wear a 36AA, but unfortunately that is out of my size range in Wacoal. Sounds like perhaps you need a full A cup?
The problem with me and Wacoal seems to be with the cup placement. They are quite close together–more bras for truly petite women. I’m not at all petite, so these usually don’t work for me. I end up gouged and squished, even when there’s some empty room in the cup. I guess I’m just a mutant
At least Aerie understands me!
I don’t know, I think I’m the mutant. Everyone raves about the Aerie Ella bra, but I’ve not yet found a size in it that doesn’t either poke me in the armpits or make me feel like I’m getting a double sideways mammogram all day long.
Please note: this bra has now been discontinued as well. For a replacement, check out my review of the newest Wacoal Petite 75823 convertible racerback: http://32aabra.com/bra-size-aa/wacoal-petite-convertible-t-back-bra-review/
