No more size NA!
Thanks to the distressed 32aaBra reader who wrote to me with this information. She is a 34AA and wears Playtex Thank Goodness it Fits bras in size 34NA, meaning “Nearly A.”
The NA and NB (nearly B) sizes in Playtex used to be excellent for petite small-busted women who wanted modesty and coverage without a lot of fuss — no padding, no uplift, and usually wire-free.
But apparently the TGIF half-size collection has gone downhill. I found the most recent line of half sizes from Playtex to be excessively padded and less comfortable than my Aerie bras with underwires.
And now, it seems that instead of trying to improve the product, Playtex is giving up on it. As of June 2010, they will stop making half-size bras.
All of you who love these bras have my sympathy. It’s irritating enough when a single style gets discontinued… but the entire line? Come on, Playtex, it’s not as if those of us with size AA bodies have a lot of other choices available to us at this point.
As I said to my 34AA reader, I’m concerned about the possibility that Wacoal Petites will go the same way… please, Wacoal, don’t forget about us!

Hey Elizabeth, I’ll keep an eye out for Playtex white and beige half-size bras in 34 nearly B. Sometimes these show up on eBay, and you may find them listed under size 34B.
I can’t believe that Playtex, who has been in the bra business for so many years, discontinued their half size bras. I cannot find anything that will fit me comfortably because I am an inbetween size NB. I do not like underwire and I just can’t find a comfortable bra. Very disappointed in this company. It seems as though the company is only looking to cater to certain types of people.
