Plastic Barbie boobs are not hot.

I Heart My RackShopping for gifts at the mall this season, I’ve seen way too many teen girls walk by wearing push-up plunge bras with the kind of padding that looks about as natural as the plastic boobs on a Barbie. And it’s not just the teenagers — I’ll admit, I’ve made the same mistake.
It’s hard to find a padded bra that doesn’t hide the shape of A/B size breasts. Victoria’s Secret seems to think that if you’re smaller than a B cup, your boobs should be squished together and shoved up to your neck. If you’re into that look and your ribcage can stand it, fine… but for me, the VS plunge pushup becomes painful to wear after only an hour or two. My perky little twins deserve better.
This is why I don’t recommend Victoria’s Secret pushup styles for AA or A cups: they look fake, and the shape is all wrong. You may as well save your money and stuff your brassiere with rolled-up socks, because that’s the look you’re going to get with a “sexy” maximizer from VS. Don’t get me wrong — I’ve written about the VS Pink line on this blog before, and I am a fan of their cotton T-shirt bra. It’s unpadded, comfortable and pretty.
