Felina Bra, Style 4975 I got the Felina Victoria balconette contour bra from my boyfriend for Christmas, and it’s a winner. Unfortunately, it also seems to have been discontinued… that figures. Why must this happen with so many of the bras I love? Can’t a curve-challenged chick get a break? The good news: I did find this bra still available and on sale in sizes 32A and 32B.

It’s a lovely, elegant demi-cup style with lightweight underwires that don’t come up too far at the sides — perfect if you’ve got a short torso and perky, high-set breasts. (Yes, that would be me). The balcony cut means the cups are set a bit farther apart than they are on other Felina bras, which I like; it makes for a much more comfortable fit.

Find out where to buy this style after the jump.

I am so thankful for the Little Bra Company. Finally, there is a brand that actually fits my petite frame!

I wear the Ethel in size 28 A. The band (set of 3 double hook & eye closures) runs larger than the Angela, and the straps are longer (I wear size 30 A in the Angela).

I’m partial to the Ethel not only because it’s purple, has lace, and has a pearl in the middle. It’s also very comfortable and provides nice lift and shape.

The demi cups have convenient removable pads. I always wear it with the extra padding.

Who went back to school this semester? You’re probably done with all your back to school shopping by now but when you picked up all your new notebooks and pencils, did you remember to get yourself some new undies? If not, how would you like $1000 worth of new Affinitas lingerie as well as $1000 for tuition?

Affinitas Intimates is holding a contest and all you have to do is send them some pics of your favorite back to school looks, like them on facebook, tell them where you go to school, what you study, and what you want to be when you grow up. Also, pick out your favorite new style from the new fall line. For complete rules, go to their website. The contest ends on Sept. 18, so hurry up!

For those not familiar with Affinitas Intimates, AAmanda tells me they are primarily a fashion lingerie brand and that their small-scale sizing makes them a good fit for petites. The new fall line, called “Forbidden Romance” features chemises, bras and bustiers ranging from everyday to occasional nights. Band sizes start at 30 and cups start at A. Also new for fall is the Parfait line with band sizes also starting at 30, but with a fuller cup fit ranging from D to G.

(Hat-tip to Affinitas and Body Magazine)

In this post I will be reviewing a beautiful purple nightgown by Honeydew Intimates.

Size Small, 95% Rayon, 5% Spandex

This nightgown is absolutely beautiful.

Yes, I am partial to purple, as it has been my favorite color since I was 7 years old and realized that pink was overrated.

But this nightgown truly exudes royalty and sophistication.

It hits right above my knee. The fabric is very soft and perfect for  summer nights (which is nearly every night as I live in Florida!)

With its lace straps and cute bow in the middle, I feel so feminine when wearing it.

It has adjustable straps which I wear on the smallest option–being so small-chested, it supports me perfectly and provides a very nice shape.

It’s vital that I mention the hook and eye closure feature of this nightgown. I wear it on the smallest hook and it is very comfortable.

I am so grateful that the nightgown has this option! My petite frame normally drowns in anything that is labeled size “small,” and many times even “extra small.”

This nightgown, however, was made for me. (That’s how I feel when I wear it!)

So… remember yesterday when I said these deals don’t happen every day? As fate would have it, the universe is messing with me again and I was apparently mistaken. Here are today’s members-only deals…

Libertine Bra In Black on sale for 54.99

This Libertine Bra, normally $75, is on sale for $54.99 at Beyond The Rack

I’m poor but I still love to shower my wife with lavish gifts, so I’m always on the lookout for a great deal. I’d like to do a regular Deal of the Day type thing, but these deals don’t happen every day. Instead, I’ll post them as soon as I see them and hopefully you can take advantage. Also, I’ll try to focus on good stuff – not “Buy one get one free Hanes bra at Kmart!” You can find that stuff on your own. Rather, I’ll put up the stuff you might miss.

A few weeks ago, I mentioned a deal on Between the Sheets at Zulily. That deal is unfortunately gone, but Zulily has come through again with up to 60% off Sophie B and while they don’t go smaller than a full A-cup bra, they do have some nice cute-sexy chemises and undies.

The other tiny deal today is at Beyond the Rack with bras and panties sets by Chantelle and Passionata. Bra sizes range from 32AA to 36H and undies stretch from XS to 5XL! The discount range varies from product to product but panties are less than $35 (normally $50) and the most expensive bra is $65 (usually $90). I’m kind of partial to the stripey bra to the left, but that’s just me.

Admin edit: Here's my favorite. --Amanda

Again, please note that both of these sites are members-only, but registration is free and no real personal information is collected until checkout. Also, these sales are VERY limited time only or until stock runs out.

After reading through a few older articles here a while back, I discovered that members-only sites like Ideeli are great resources for saving money on high-end stuff. I immediately sought out and signed up for as many of these sites as I could. (I even found some clothes for myself.) So when I wrote that I was looking for summer birthday gift ideas, Amanda suggested Between the Sheets. Lo and behold, in today’s email, Zulilly, which typically features 90% baby/kids stuff has Between the Sheets lingerie on sale in their Womens section. If you’re not familiar with Between the Sheets, check out Amanda’s article here.

It is worth noting: Registration is required to take advantage of these sites, but registration is free and they don’t ask for any credit card info until you actually buy something.

So the little woman has a summer birthday coming up and I was thinking of an intimate gift that balances sexy, practical, and luxurious. Since she works mostly outdoors in a job that does not allow shorts and makes skirts simply impractical, I was thinking silk undies. So, ladies, what kind of silky treasures would you want for your summer birthday? Leave your suggestions in the comments section. Keep in mind two things: a swimming pool is out of the question and I’m working on a tight budget.

Layla la Lingerista

In celebration of International Women’s Day, I’d like to use today’s post to highlight a personal heroine of mine in the lingerie business.

Layla L’obatti, designer of the luxury label
Between The Sheets Lingerie, is a major force of energy and ambition in a laid-back, feminine package. Her personal power suit is a flattering set of modal intimates and lounge wear that hugs every curve.

I met Layla on Twitter and we clicked right away. I was thrilled to discover such a clever, funny, friendly and gracious person — one who clearly shared my interest in lingerie that women wear just for themselves.

That’s the principle behind Layla’s designs: they are conceived by a woman, for other women, because we are the ones who know our bodies best.

I was already a huge Layla fan by the time I got to try one of her lingerie sets, but still I somehow didn’t expect to be so completely blown away. Silly me!

Sexy Pick for Petites: Calvin Klein sheer lace plunge bra. Calvin Klein offers some very good petite small-cup bras. The key is to be able to sort them out from all the other CK bra styles — all of which tend to look very much alike in photos.

Stay cool during the final days of summer in my top recommendations for lightweight, breathable stretch comfort bras and bralettes. I personally select and comment on each product in the Itty Bitty AA-List store, so you can trust that these really are the best-fitting bras Amazon has to offer for petite small-busted women.

You’ll see some great prices here, especially on the excellent everyday Barely There Breathe bralette (pictured below) — an underwear essential for petite size AA and A-cup women. Normally $18, it is now on sale starting at $10.59.

Barely There Breathe Bralette, BlackIt’s like a sports bra, only it doesn’t flatten you out. The cups provide nice separation and definition (just say no to uni-boob), and the lining inside is just substantial enough to cover your nipples.

Bra Size Comic.

I’ve just been over at my web page on what to wear to enhance a small bust, answering a few new questions from readers. One thing I don’t think I’ve talked about over there yet is the magic boob-highlighting powers of metallic, shiny fabrics.

A bra to fit the tiniest AAA-cup breasts. For all my frustration with the lingerie market and its failure to make a decent variety of bras in my size, I suppose I should concede one thing: it’s even worse for all the lovely little AAA-cup women and girls out there.

Fortunately, Lula Lu has made big progress in designing tiny bras. Their latest work of genius: Desiree, a stunning fuschia mesh demi embellished with an intricate black lace overlay. This style is available in both AA and AAA cups (band sizes 32, 34, 36… no 38 yet).

This model wears a 32A.The best way to find your best-fitting bra is simply to try on ten or twenty different bras in a wide range of brands, styles and sizes, until you find one that feels good and flatters your shape.

But in a department store, petite size AA/A women are usually out of luck. It’s hard enough for the woman with an “average figure” (34 B/C) to snag her perfect fit … even with all those endless drawers, displays and racks of bras available in her size!

If you’re small-busted, I really believe your best option is to measure your band and cup size, find their equivalents on a standardized fit chart, and then order a few of the most highly recommended bras in your size online.

In case you end up needing an alternative size in this or that brand (it happens to all of us at some point), make sure you know that the retailer accepts returns and/or exchanges…. like I do!

Check out my Itty Bitty Bra Guide for more information on finding the right fit.

Baby ZebraThe title of this post was my first thought when I came across Zee Bra, a new product made for small-busted women.

Yes: women. Turns out it’s not for zebras, nor is it available in the almost-too-trendy zebra print design that I’m actually getting tired of anyway. I mean, did you see that giraffe bra in the Cosabella sale at Rue La La? Kinda bizarre. This animal print lingerie thing is maybe getting a little out of hand.

But I digress. Zee Bra appears to be a very new product; the website describes it as a bra for AA and A cups, but there is no size AA in the “Buy Now” menu. So I wrote to the designer, Lynn Saussy, to see what the deal is with sizing.
