It’s my pleasure to review this gorgeous chemise by Bella Petite Lingerie, a new company from U.S. entrepreneur and fellow itty-bitty-committee member Stephanie Ballard. This month, we are offering a giveaway of the winner’s choice between the chemise and babydoll styles.

I got the Bella Petite sheer nylon chemise in lavender with gray lace cups and black adjustable straps. It’s also available in a delicate light pink (shown here) or white.

By far, the best thing about this chemise is the fit. I’ve never had a slinky little nightwear piece that fit me this well in the cups.

Clearly, Stephanie understands the needs of petite women like us. Being small-busted herself, she has come up with a rather brilliant and unique design for this garment. It’s got sliding triangle cups in soft lace, with an elastic underbust so you can adjust it to get just the look and feel you want.

I got a size Small and was a little surprised to note that my breasts filled the cups completely. I could possibly have even gone a size up (to a Medium). As a 34A/32B, I rarely have that experience with lingerie — so this is a happy first. I usually go to bed in a ratty t-shirt, so an elegant nightgown like this is definitely not what I’m used to. Not that I’m complaining.

Best of all, the chemise and babydoll from Bella Petite are available in sizes XXS and XS… perfect for my very petite readers who have mostly given up on finding anything like this in stores that doesn’t gap, wrinkle or droop. Affinitas Intimates Jennifer bra & hipster

The sophisticated and sexy Jennifer bra and hipster set comes in teal satin with black mesh lace overlay, and is available in the following sizes: 32-36 A and 32-38 B, C, D, DD (bra); S-XL (hipster).

The Affinitas Intimates 5511 Jennifer contour push-up is an underwire bra with medium graduated push-up padding built in at the bottom and sides of the cup. This style features a back closure with two rows and three columns of hooks, and breathable stretch mesh nylon sides. The center gore is set low in front to accommodate V-neck tops.

UK designer Megan Leung does’t like what is being said to women, so she is changing the conversation with her new label Meg at Midnight. Inspired by a friend who felt it was “embarrassing wearing a training bra and frustrating wearing an adult bra,” Ms. Leung saw a niche that was not properly being filled. Where other brands pack on the padding to disguise an inadequacy, Meg at Midnight celebrates the small with sexy, sheer, and pad-free pieces specifically designed to accentuate the slight figure.

Ms. Leung says: “Meg at Midnight is a designer intimatewear specializing in, but not limited to, the smaller busted woman. Our garments are carefully structured to fit and flatter rather than enhance small breasts. This is done by using a specific underwire (which makes the bras look more “grown up” as compared to a soft bra that often looks like a training bra). The materials as we use at the moment are delicate, which would not be ideal for supporting bigger and heavier busts.”

Bra and Cheeky Boyshort Set, by Honeydew Intimates

Hate ruffles? These are soft, sleek and barely there.

I love rich, opulent colors for winter lingerie. My favorite recent purchase in this category is from the petite-friendly brand Honeydew Intimates.

This tutu mesh cheeky panty and ruffled bralette set is delicate and romantic, but not too sweet in the sophisticated and luscious plum/gray/black option. I love how the layers lie flat enough so that I don’t look too much like a cupcake. Best of all, it’s incredibly soft and lightweight.

Matching lingerie sets are the perfect thing to add to your wish list, and this one boasts sex appeal, quality and comfort all in one beautiful little package.

Honeydew has always been great at combining great style, flattering fit and dreamy-comfy fabrics. What’s not to love?

For small-busted size AA and A-cup women, a truly glamorous bra is a rare find. There’s nothing wrong with sheer lace bralettes, but when you want to hide the headlights you need something with a bit more substance.

Hey ladies!

I know that many of you who need a size 30A or 30B bra are frustrated with the lack of lingerie available in band sizes under 32. Although this is not a problem I personally have to deal with, I can certainly sympathize.

That’s one of the reasons why I’m thrilled to be writing a review of the “Chloe” bustier and hipster set by Affinitas Intimates: this petite-friendly brand starts at a 30A.

Reason number two: this set is incredibly hot.

Men: if you’re looking for something to get your petite wife or girlfriend for V-Day (or any other occasion), I really do not think you can possibly go wrong with any piece in the Affinitas Chloe collection. Just make sure you know her size, and you’re all set.

There’s even a choice of colors: blue and black, or pink and black. I went with the blue in a size 32A… but honestly, if I’d gotten the pink I might have suddenly developed a taste for pink! That’s the level of gorgeous we are dealing with here.

Lula Lu Petites Racerback Bra Review

Wear the straps classic or cross-back.

When I first saw the convertible racerback by petite lingerie label Lula Lu, I had no idea what a miracle it would turn out to be. It’s a practical, no-frills bra that is designed for everyday wear, not as a beautiful boudoir piece.

The magic happened when I put it on, glanced at myself in the mirror and nearly gasped in surprise: it fit… perfectly. Like Cinderella’s glass slipper, but on my very own barely-there boobs. OMFG, hell YES (this is what Cinderella says in some version of the story, I’m sure).

I spent the next ten minutes posing in various model-like positions, feeling gorgeous and sexy. The whole time, no matter how I twisted and turned and stretched my arms in every possible direction, the bra did not shift or gap. It stayed right where it was supposed to be, like a loyal friend.

I work for American Eagle Aerie, and I wanted to update you guys on some of the new Aerie bras that have been released over the past year. Finding bras online that fit just right is tough, and sometimes bras even vary in size within the same brand — so we’d love to have you stop by an Aerie store for a personalized fitting. Check our website to find one in your area.

Drew: “The Party Girl”

Double Whoa!
Coming in as a Double Whoa, Drew is the most push up that Aerie offers in a bra. She adds two cup sizes! Drew is very similar to the VS Miraculous bra, but in my experience it’s a lot softer and more comfortable to wear.

Drew does start at a 32AA; however, like the Aerie Emma bra, this one can be an awkward fit in the smaller cup sizes. There is so much padding that even on full A-cup breasts, it tends to gap at the tops of the cups.

Blush Lingerie - Dreamgirl push-up bra set

Pure romance.

This is a review of the Dreamgirl push-up bra, by Blush Lingerie. I learned about this company from Avec L’amour, an online intimates boutique with a special category for bras that fit well on small-breasted women. The owner, Lisa, is one of my best resources for information about size and fit — especially for AA and nearly A bras.

She’s the one who recommended I try the Natori Feathers, to which I am now completely addicted. An elegant, sophisticated piece, the Feathers bra fits me perfectly in a 32A — with no gaps in the cups. The Dreamgirl push-up, another of Lisa’s favorites (available for purchase at aveclamour.com), has a similar fit: perfect for the nearly A or fuller AA woman who tends to have trouble filling out standard A-cup bras.

In fact, I would even say this style runs a bit smaller in the cups than the Natori Feathers — but perhaps this is because I’m not used to push-ups. It certainly does its job, as far as providing lift and a bit of a boost in size.

The padding is substantial, but when I’m wearing the bra it does not look fake and does not create a significant change in the lines of my natural silhouette. I think that’s because the cups are spaced fairly wide, so you don’t look or feel squeezed (the all-too-common phenomenon I like to call “boob-smash”).

Review of size 32AA

The Allure demi from Mimi Holliday is one of the most exquisite bras I have ever laid eyes on. The super low-cut demi cups of this cream-colored bra have light foam padding, dusty lilac satin straps, and a polka dot silk overlay with contrasting scalloped lace trim. Playful matching satin bows decorate the straps and center gore. This masterfully designed piece was made to be seen and admired.

I measure about 28 inches around my ribcage and 33 inches around the fullest part of my chest. By the conventional method of bra fitting (adding 4 inches to the ribcage and then subtracting that from the full bust measurement), that makes me a perfect 32A.
