Petite racerback bra by Lula Lu.

Wear the straps classic or cross-back.

When I first saw the convertible racerback by petite lingerie label Lula Lu, I had no idea what a miracle it would turn out to be. It’s a practical, no-frills bra that is designed for everyday wear, not as a beautiful boudoir piece.

The magic happened when I put it on, glanced at myself in the mirror and nearly gasped in surprise: it fit… perfectly. Like Cinderella’s glass slipper, but on my very own barely-there boobs. OMFG, hell YES (this is what Cinderella says in some version of the story, I’m sure).

I spent the next ten minutes posing in various model-like positions, feeling gorgeous and sexy. The whole time, no matter how I twisted and turned and stretched my arms in every possible direction, the bra did not shift or gap. It stayed right where it was supposed to be, like a loyal friend.

Editor’s note: I am pleased to bring you this update on American Eagle Aerie bras, written by guest author Mallory K. She found our page on Facebook, and it only took one conversation with Mallory for me to recognize how well she was going to fit in (literally; she’s a 30A) with our itty bitty tribe here at 32aa Bra. Aerie fans, this one’s for you; enjoy. –Amanda

I work for American Eagle Aerie, and I wanted to update you guys on some of the new Aerie bras that have been released over the past year. Finding bras online that fit just right is tough, and sometimes bras even vary in size within the same brand — so we’d love to have you stop by an Aerie store for a personalized fitting. Check our website to find one in your area.

Drew: “The Party Girl”

American Eagle Aerie Bras: Drew

Double Whoa!

Coming in as a Double Whoa, Drew is the most push up that Aerie offers in a bra. She adds two cup sizes! Drew is very similar to the VS Miraculous bra, but in my experience it’s a lot softer and more comfortable to wear.

Drew does start at a 32AA; however, like the Aerie Emma bra, this one can be an awkward fit in the smaller cup sizes. There is so much padding that even on full A-cup breasts, it tends to gap at the tops of the cups.

Blush Lingerie - Dreamgirl push-up bra set

Pure romance.

This is a review of the Dreamgirl push-up bra, by Blush Lingerie. I learned about this company from Avec L’amour, an online intimates boutique with a special category for bras that fit well on small-breasted women. The owner, Lisa, is one of my best resources for information about size and fit — especially for AA and nearly A bras.

She’s the one who recommended I try the Natori Feathers, to which I am now completely addicted. An elegant, sophisticated piece, the Feathers bra fits me perfectly in a 32A — with no gaps in the cups. The Dreamgirl push-up, another of Lisa’s favorites (available for purchase at aveclamour.com), has a similar fit: perfect for the nearly A or fuller AA woman who tends to have trouble filling out standard A-cup bras.

In fact, I would even say this style runs a bit smaller in the cups than the Natori Feathers — but perhaps this is because I’m not used to push-ups. It certainly does its job, as far as providing lift and a bit of a boost in size.

The padding is substantial, but when I’m wearing the bra it does not look fake and does not create a significant change in the lines of my natural silhouette. I think that’s because the cups are spaced fairly wide, so you don’t look or feel squeezed (the all-too-common phenomenon I like to call “boob-smash”).

Mimi Holiday "Allure" Lingerie, 2010

Review of size 32AA

The Allure demi from Mimi Holliday is one of the most exquisite bras I have ever laid eyes on. The super low-cut demi cups of this cream-colored bra have light foam padding, dusty lilac satin straps, and a polka dot silk overlay with contrasting scalloped lace trim. Playful matching satin bows decorate the straps and center gore. This masterfully designed piece was made to be seen and admired.

I measure about 28 inches around my ribcage and 33 inches around the fullest part of my chest. By the conventional method of bra fitting (adding 4 inches to the ribcage and then subtracting that from the full bust measurement), that makes me a perfect 32A.

Who went back to school this semester? You’re probably done with all your back to school shopping by now but when you picked up all your new notebooks and pencils, did you remember to get yourself some new undies? If not, how would you like $1000 worth of new Affinitas lingerie as well as $1000 for tuition?

Affinitas Intimates is holding a contest and all you have to do is send them some pics of your favorite back to school looks, like them on facebook, tell them where you go to school, what you study, and what you want to be when you grow up. Also, pick out your favorite new style from the new fall line. For complete rules, go to their website. The contest ends on Sept. 18, so hurry up!

For those not familiar with Affinitas Intimates, AAmanda tells me they are primarily a fashion lingerie brand and that their small-scale sizing makes them a good fit for petites. The new fall line, called “Forbidden Romance” features chemises, bras and bustiers ranging from everyday to occasional nights. Band sizes start at 30 and cups start at A. Also new for fall is the Parfait line with band sizes also starting at 30, but with a fuller cup fit ranging from D to G.

(Hat-tip to Affinitas and Body Magazine)

In this post I will be reviewing a beautiful purple nightgown by Honeydew Intimates.

Size Small, 95% Rayon, 5% Spandex

This nightgown is absolutely beautiful.

Yes, I am partial to purple, as it has been my favorite color since I was 7 years old and realized that pink was overrated.

But this nightgown truly exudes royalty and sophistication.

It hits right above my knee. The fabric is very soft and perfect for  summer nights (which is nearly every night as I live in Florida!)

With its lace straps and cute bow in the middle, I feel so feminine when wearing it.

It has adjustable straps which I wear on the smallest option–being so small-chested, it supports me perfectly and provides a very nice shape.

It’s vital that I mention the hook and eye closure feature of this nightgown. I wear it on the smallest hook and it is very comfortable.

I am so grateful that the nightgown has this option! My petite frame normally drowns in anything that is labeled size “small,” and many times even “extra small.”

This nightgown, however, was made for me. (That’s how I feel when I wear it!)

Libertine Bra In Black on sale for 54.99

This Libertine Bra, normally $75, is on sale for $54.99 at Beyond The Rack

I’m poor but I still love to shower my wife with lavish gifts, so I’m always on the lookout for a great deal. I’d like to do a regular Deal of the Day type thing, but these deals don’t happen every day. Instead, I’ll post them as soon as I see them and hopefully you can take advantage. Also, I’ll try to focus on good stuff – not “Buy one get one free Hanes bra at Kmart!” You can find that stuff on your own. Rather, I’ll put up the stuff you might miss.

A few weeks ago, I mentioned a deal on Between the Sheets at Zulily. That deal is unfortunately gone, but Zulily has come through again with up to 60% off Sophie B and while they don’t go smaller than a full A-cup bra, they do have some nice cute-sexy chemises and undies.

The other tiny deal today is at Beyond the Rack with bras and panties sets by Chantelle and Passionata. Bra sizes range from 32AA to 36H and undies stretch from XS to 5XL! The discount range varies from product to product but panties are less than $35 (normally $50) and the most expensive bra is $65 (usually $90). I’m kind of partial to the stripey bra to the left, but that’s just me.

Admin edit: Here's my favorite. --Amanda

Again, please note that both of these sites are members-only, but registration is free and no real personal information is collected until checkout. Also, these sales are VERY limited time only or until stock runs out.

Sheer white lace "Adorable" petite bra

Sheer silk and lace perfection.

I am in a state of Ultimate Bra Bliss right now. This does not happen often, which makes it all the more thrilling.

After several tries (and plenty of much-appreciated advice from Wesley), I’ve found the perfect Mimi Holliday bra from A Little Something Fit: the lightweight and lovely Adorable, in a size 32A/AA.

So, once again I end up with something “adorable” rather than sexy… but this gorgeous piece is far more elegant.

It’s made of sheer white lace with unstructured, unlined stretch demi cups. The sizing is a bit more generous than petite bras, but it runs small enough in the cup to fit most size AAs.

New Aerie Bra, 2011: Katie with Cherries I adore cherry prints. Unfortunately, cherries seem to show up mostly on dresses that are cut in the classic 1940s hourglass shape… not such a flattering style on petite slender women.

What’s a flat-chested wannabe pin-up girl to do?

So as soon as I saw this new version of the Aerie Katie bra, I pounced. It’s definitely more sweet than sexy, and I’ll never be mistaken for a ’40s vixen wearing this. My boyfriend laughed when he saw it, actually… and then he went “awww.”

Not quite the reaction you want from a guy when he sees your bra, right? “Aww” is what people say when they see pictures of kittens and baby ducks.

Oh well. I’ll settle for cute when I have to, especially when there is lace trim involved. But the matching bikini seems like overkill. I’ll wear it with my sheer black OnGossamer tanga instead, just to remind myself (and my boyfriend) how old I really am.

Sexy Pick for Petites: Calvin Klein sheer lace plunge bra. Calvin Klein offers some very good petite small-cup bras. The key is to be able to sort them out from all the other CK bra styles — all of which tend to look very much alike in photos.

Wacoal 73562 Petite Contour BraThe latest from Wacoal’s collection of bras for petites is a demi plunge contour bra. The structure of this style is simple: it is not a push-up. The cups are lightly padded with a single layer of stretch foam.

This lovely Wacoal petite bra flatters small breasts (cup size AA – B) instead of hiding them beneath bulky mounds of padding. The molded contour cups feature a delicate sheer lace overlay with floral embroidery… so so pretty.

I’m pleased to report that two of my favorite brands that make bras in size AA have been venturing into more sophisticated style territory lately. They now come in a greater variety of on-trend colors, prints and materials.

The Aerie Ella Gel, a comfy push-up bra in very soft microfiber, has been looking rather runway-inspired in her most recent incarnations. I love the black-and-white prints in particular.

For those who prefer simple solids, Ella also comes in a collection of desaturated, understated colors that you don’t often see in bras made for teens.

A bra to fit the tiniest AAA-cup breasts. For all my frustration with the lingerie market and its failure to make a decent variety of bras in my size, I suppose I should concede one thing: it’s even worse for all the lovely little AAA-cup women and girls out there.

Fortunately, Lula Lu has made big progress in designing tiny bras. Their latest work of genius: Desiree, a stunning fuschia mesh demi embellished with an intricate black lace overlay. This style is available in both AA and AAA cups (band sizes 32, 34, 36… no 38 yet).

Baby ZebraThe title of this post was my first thought when I came across Zee Bra, a new product made for small-busted women.

Yes: women. Turns out it’s not for zebras, nor is it available in the almost-too-trendy zebra print design that I’m actually getting tired of anyway. I mean, did you see that giraffe bra in the Cosabella sale at Rue La La? Kinda bizarre. This animal print lingerie thing is maybe getting a little out of hand.

But I digress. Zee Bra appears to be a very new product; the website describes it as a bra for AA and A cups, but there is no size AA in the “Buy Now” menu. So I wrote to the designer, Lynn Saussy, to see what the deal is with sizing.
